New York 2001 Part 3

Saturday June 16th, 2001 / Sabado 16 de junio del 2001. On Saturday we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET). It's huge and beautiful! It hosted about 20 or 30 exhibitions and we were able to see just one: The Egyptians, and part of the Greeks. We were there for hours. El sabado ya estabamos muertos, ampollados, acalambrados, pero con muchas ganas de seguir viendo la ciudad. Nos fuimos al Museo Metropolitano de Arte. ¡Hermoso! ¡Enorme! ¡Divino! ¡Imponente! Albergaba cerca de 30 exposiciones y nomas tuvimos tiempo de ver una entera (Egipto) y dos de pasadita (fotos de Grecia), sin leer los letreritos. Imaginense lo enorme. Duramos ahi como 4 o 6 horas.
After the MET, we took a taxi to FAO Schwartz and walk around looking for a place to eat. It rained for a few minutes. De ahi tomamos un taxi a FAO Swarchtz que es una tienda de juguetes. Ahi se filmo parte de la pelicula Mi Pobre Angelito. Caminamos hasta hallar donde comer y caminamos por la Quinta avenida.

Then we walked to Times Square, which is impressive, especially at night, with all the screens, noises, music, people, businesses, etc. Hector took Karla to a nice restaurant-bar to have a drink and rest. Karla’s feet were hurting so bad by then and she had Band-Aids everywhere! De ahi a Times Square de nuevo (nos gusto mucho). Nos fuimos en taxi a un restaurante a tomar unas cervecitas y descansar antes de irnos a dormir.
