New York 2005

On June 17th I flew to New York for a business trip. I had some spare time on Saturday afternoon and Sunday and visited several places.
On Saturday afternoon I went to Times Square and walked around a bit. I've been there before and I was expecting to see a lot of people, yet, I had forgotten how it feels to be there. It is amazing to see so many people walking around. It's a nice scene.
El 17 de junio me toco ir en un viaje de negocios a Nueva York. El sabado por la tarde y el domingo tuve un tiempecillo libre y me fue a pasear por la ciudad.
El sabado por la tarde me fui al "Times Square" a caminar un rato; a pesar de que ya habia estado ahi en una visita anterior y sabia que hay una cantidad enorme de gente, la verdad es que se me habia olvidado como se siente estar rodeado de tanta gente, es una escena muy padre.
From there, I took the subway and headed down to Greenwich Village, the bohemian side of New York. The weather couldn't be any nicer. I had dinner in a little Spanish/Italian restaurant with outdoor seating.
De ahi me subi al metro y me fui a "Greenwich Village" que es la parte de bohemia de Nueva York, el clima estaba muy rico asi que me toco cenar al aire libre en un restaurant que era una mezcla entre español e italiano.
Sunday I had more time to tour around so I went to Central Park and then to the
Museum of Modern Art. They have 6 floors of art and some beatiful pieces by Van Gogh, Pollock, Miró, Dalí, and Picasso.
El domingo me fui al "Central Park" y de ahi al Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, el cual es un museo bastante grande con 6 pisos llenos es exposiciones permanentes y piezas originales de Van Gohg, Pollock, Miró, Dalí y Picasso.
After that I walked around mid-town and took a few more pictures of the Rockefeller Plaza, the statue of Atlas, and the Chrysler Building.
De ahi me segui turisteando por el centro y tome mas fotos de la Plaza Rockefeller, la estatua del Atlas y el edificio Chryslter.
I ran across a street fair on 5th Avenue and 45th Street. Really nice. Several food stands with food and crafts from all over the world.
Al final me encontre con una feria de artesinas y comida en la 5a. avenida y la calle 45.
