Tuesday August 5/Martes 5 de agosto
We took the Metro to Abbesses and walked around Montmartre, passed the Moulin Rouge and went to the cemetery of Montmartre. We then climbed those never-ending steps up to Sacre Cour (Sacred Heart). As we walked to Place du Tertre, a lively square with restaurants, painters, mimes, and dozens of tourists, we decided to have a quiet lunch inside a restaurant, Le Sabot. Later, we walked in and out of shops and a gallery dedicated to Dali. When we were ready to take a break we went to the park behind Sacre Cour, where some Parisians were sunbathing (we are pretty sure they were Parisian, trust us). By the time we went back to the hotel we were ready for peace and quiet, so we had cheese, pates, fruit, bread and wine at the balcony of our hotel room.
